When Typhoon Ondoy struck, the substandard structures that were built for them were instantly destroyed by the floods. Apparently, the government relocated them to a high-risk area — beside a river.

CDRC’s Training and Resource Center was formally launched on Nov. 13, 2009. The training center has a conference room and dormitories for trainings and seminars. The resource center on the other hand features a library which offers various materials on disaster-related issues.
