A four-hour fire broke out thursday night in Barangay Navotas West and Barangay Sipac in Navotas city, leaving at least 1,491 families or 7,157 persons homeless.

99 disasters hit the country from January to June 2010

The Philippines was hit 99 times by natural and man-made disasters from January to June of this year, Citizens’ Disaster Response Center said.
These affected a total of 579,540 families or 3,405,707 individuals.
