CDRC, together with its Regional Center, Tarabang para sa Bicol, Inc. (TABI), distributed relief goods to the families affected by Typhoon Pepeng (Parma) in Catanduanes and Camarines Sur. Psychosocial services and disaster preparedness trainings were also launched. This was supported by Caritas Switzerland and Swiss Solidarity.

CDRC conducted an Evacuation Center Management training for the Mayon evacuees in Albay with the help of its regional center Tarabang Para sa Bicol (TABI), and four Social Work students from Bicol University. Pamphlets of health and sanitation were distributed, and large murals on what to do during ash falls were mounted in strategic places in the affected communities. This was supported by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has lowered the alert status of Mayon volcano to Alert Level 3 on Saturday after noting signs of decreased activity. More than 47,000 people living some seven to eight kilometres around Mayon were already allowed to return home. However, more than 2,000 people living in the 6-kilometer danger zone remain in the evacuation centers.
