Typhoon ‘Basyang’ death toll rises to 76

The death toll from the typhoon “Basyang” (international name Conson) has increased to 76, the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) said in its latest situation report. CDRC, through the generous support of the “Unity Concert 2009: Rebuilding People’s Lives”, distributed school supplies to the children affected by Typhoon Ondoy. The Unity Concert was a benefit concert organized by Filipinos in Toronto, Canada last December 13, 2009. Proceeds of the concert went to CDRC for relief and rehabilitation projects.
