A total of 4,350 families in Sultan Kudarat, South Cotobato and Davao City are affected by flooding and landslides triggered by continuous heavy rains since September 10, according to to the National Disaster Coordinating Council.

A four-hour fire broke out thursday night in Barangay Navotas West and Barangay Sipac in Navotas city, leaving at least 1,491 families or 7,157 persons homeless.
800 houses, mostly made of light materials, were destroyed.

Typhoon ‘Basyang’ death toll rises to 76

The death toll from the typhoon “Basyang” (international name Conson) has increased to 76, the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) said in its latest situation report.
Forty three of the deaths were from Southern Tagalog, followed by Central Luzon with 15 and Bicol region with 18. Seventy-two people remain missing, mostly from Bicol.

At least 4,000 families were left homelss Saturday after a fire raged for seven hours in Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa City.
