Civic Force, a non-profit organization in Japan, donated US $10,000 for the victims of Tropical Storm Sendong (Washi) in the Philippines.
Civic Force immediately mounted a campaign for donations after the December 16, 2011 floods and landslides in Northern Mindanao and Central Visayas where more than 1,000 people died.

Caritas Switzerland, a Catholic social service agency, sent funding to the disaster-stricken areas in the Philippines following the massive destruction brought by Tropical Storm Sendong (Washi) last December 16, 2011 in Northern Mindanao and Central Visayas.

Germany, through the efforts of the humanitarian aid agency Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH), sent relief aid worth Php 14.2 M to the survivors of Tropical Storm Sendong (Washi) in the Philippines.

The Citizens’ Disaster Response Center, through its Regional Center Panday Bulig, distributed 1,000 relief packs to families affected by Tropical Storm Sendong in Cagayan de Oro City last December 23, 2011.

The death toll of Tropical Storm Sendong (international codename: Washi), which battered Southern Philippines on December 16, 2011, has reached 1,453.
Many of those killed were women and children who drowned when rivers swelled in Cagayan de Oro City and Iligan City. Other victims came from Zamboanga del Norte and Compostela Valley.

Typhoon Pedring (Nesat) left Php 14.9 billion in damages to agriculture and infrastructure, surpassing the Php 12.3 billion in damages wrought by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.
