Photo Gallery: Flooded towns in Central Mindanao (updated)

Flash Floods, due to incessant rainfall caused the overflow of 11 rivers in Central Mindanao, namely Bulatukan River in Davao del Sur, Pulangui River in North Cotabato, Pagalungan River, Simuay River, Rio Grande de Mindanao, and Tunggol River all in Bukidnon, Paquibato River in Davao City, and Lasang River in Davao del Norte. From May 5 to present, the rivers have overflowed four times, affecting most areas near the Liguasan Marsh.
A total of 135,921 families or 703,199 persons were already affected in 575 baranggays and 59 municipalities, 5 cities and 10 provinces since the floods, triggered by continuous rains and enhanced by the Low Pressure Area East of Mindanao started.

Every year gets even worst and the only way is to empower the people to save their own life and rescue their love ones..
Disaster preparedness will only be meaningful if you teach them how to build their own rescue boat and life vest using available and recyclable materials.
We can save millions!!! The earlier you train the more people you can save…
