Photos of the Phase 3 of the project: Disaster Preparedness and Mitigation for Typhoon-Prone Philippine Regions funded by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.
After the first two phases of the project, which were implemented in 72 typhoon-prone communities facing the Pacific Ocean, CDRC and its Regional Centers embarked on Phase 3 starting August 2010. So much has been achieved during Phases 1 and 2 that the project had to be replicated in other regions for Phase 3. From the 72 communities, 56 more were included in Phase 3. Here are some photos of activities implemented during the first quarter by CDRC’s 13 regional partners:
In the old areas, Leadership and Speakers Trainings, and a staff development on Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction were launched. In the new areas, Baseline Data Gathering and Financial Management Training were held.
