Displaced citizens of Del Pan, Tondo, Manila took refuge in a school gymnasium after Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) struck. CDRC, together with its regional center, the Community Response for Enlightenment, Service and Transformation (CREST), immediately gave relief packs to the affected families. This effort was supported by, Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, the Social Service Agency of the German Protestant Church – one of the biggest welfare institutions in Germany.
