CDRC distributed relief goods to the affected families of Typhoon Ondoy in GK Hapilan, Manila. This was in partnership with Community Response for Enlightenment, Service and Transformation (CREST). Students from the University of the Philippines (Manila and Diliman) volunteered for the distribution. This was supported by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe and German Humanitarian Aid.

CDRC, together with the Southern Tagalog People’s Response Center (STPRC), distributed relief goods to the families affected by Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) in Los Banos, Laguna. Several communities are still under water, and affected families have been living in tents after their houses were destroyed or washed away by heavy floods.
“Pepeng” leaves 629 casualties
The number of casualties from the floods and landslides brought by Typhoon Pepeng (Parma) has already reached 629 after more bodies were recovered, majority of which came from the landslide-hit areas of the Cordillera Region, and the flooded province of Pangasinan.
