After the judging held on Oct. 1, 2015 at the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC) Conference Room, the following young artists were hailed winners of the 2015 Apoy, Bagyo, Kalamidad Dibuhong Pambata (ABKD) poster-making contest:

Category A (7 to 9-year olds)

Grand Prize Winners:

  • Angel Sealtiel S. Muñoz, Baliwasan Central School, Zamboanga City
  • Tynnie Faith R. Balceda, Ticud Elementary School, Iloilo City

Winners:

  • Reign Louise Osiel E. Martinez, Francisco Benitez Memorial School, Pagsanjan, Laguna
  • Mary Rose B. Gomez, Antonio Regidor Elementary School, Sta. Cruz, Manila
  • Adrian S. Torrente, Butuan Central Elementary School, Butuan City
  • Alyssa E. Cabading, Antonio Regidor Elementary School, Sta. Cruz, Manila

Category B (10 to 12-year olds)

Grand Prize Winners:

  • Mayumi Anna A. Burgos, St. Paul University at San Miguel, Bulacan

Winners:

This year’s judges include Department of Education-National Capital Region Disaster Risk Reduction and Management  (DepEd-NCR DRRM) Officer Dr. Genia V. Santos, artists Mr. Federico Boyd S. Dominguez, Ms. Jennifer T. Padilla and Mr. Renan Ortiz, and CDRC’s regional center in NCR Community Response for Enlightenment, Service and Transformation (CREST) Executive Director Mr. Cesar L. Dionido.

The awarding ceremony will be held at the CDRC Office in 72-A Times St., West Triangle Homes in  Quezon City on Oct. 6, 2015 at one in the afternoon.

Congratulations to the winners and thank you so much to more than 300 young participants who joined this competition!
