The Citizens’ Disaster Response Network (CDRN), the network of community-based organizations wherein CDRC is the secretariat, elected a new set of officers last October 4-5 in Tagaytay City during its 9th General Assembly.
Mr. Jimmy Khayog of the Cordillera Disaster Response and Development Services (CDRDS) will lead the network with his Vice Chairperson, Ms. Percinita Sanchez of the Mindanao Interfaith Services Foundation, Inc. (MISFI).
The other officers were Lourdes Louella Escandor of the Citizens’ Disaster Response Center (CDRC) as Secretary General, Ms. Jazmin Jerusalem of Leyte Center for Development (LCDE) as Deputy Secretary General, Ms. Armie Almero of Panay Center for Disaster Response (PCDR) as Treasurer, and Mr. Wilhelm Geertman of Alay Bayan Inc. (ABI) as Auditor.
The new set of officers will serve the network, composed of 17 Regional Centers across the Philippines, for three years. The network, led by the new officers, will continue to promote the community-based disaster management framework. #
